My name is Shannon Carter. I am a California State Board licensed Esthetician and professional Makeup Artist. In my esthetics practice, I work with people who suffer from adult and teen acne, premature aging, and preventative care maintenance. Skin challenges can cause emotional stress and anxiety in adults and can be even more difficult for teens. Helping my clients improve their skin has been incredibly rewarding. My approach to corrective skin care is teamwork. Giving my clients the necessary information and tools for an effective home care regimen is key to lasting results.
I am dedicated to continuing my education which has been a key component to my success. I have studied under the instruction of Esthetician and acne expert Laura Cooksey who has successfully treated hundreds of acne clients. My clinical training was with renowned researcher Dr. James Fulton, PHD, co-developer of Retin-AŽ and founder of the Acne Research Institute. I feel that it's important to continually attend training classes that focus on the latest advances in the esthetic and cosmeceutical industry.
As a professional Makeup Artist, I have over a decade of experience working in the bridal, print, and video industry with both traditional and airbrush makeup. I studied the art of airbrush application with Oscar winning Makeup Artist, Dina Ousley. I teach makeup application to both clients and other professionals.
